Seacombe is a unique, architect designed house in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the South Devon coast. It is secluded and surrounded by National Trust coastal land.

Sleeping up to 7 people (with capacity for two extra if needed), Seacombe has won awards for its design and sustainability, including the Best Home Competition and two highly coveted RIBA awards.

Built into a hillside, Seacombe is accessed across a timber bridge.  As you enter, the views of the coast and Deckler’s cliff can be seen from the huge south-facing windows.

There are three bedrooms on this level. The master bedroom includes a luxury ensuite, along with a custom-made king-size bed and its own balcony. The second ensuite double bedroom also enjoys sea views from its own balcony, and the third bedroom can include up to three single beds or a double, with a bathroom next door.

Panoramic views can be seen from a comfortable internal sitting area with access to the main balcony. From here, steps lead to the patio and a private stone-walled garden ideal for sunbathing, barbecuing and stargazing.

Downstairs, the living area features a large, cosy seating area with leather sofas and a TV with surround-sound. Sliding doors lead outside to the spacious patio and garden, a herb garden and a field that’s ideal for group games including croquet and badminton.

What the guests of Seacombe say

“We
just wanted to say what a wonderful relaxing time we had staying at the
beautiful house. We knew it was going to be special but we were completely
bowled over when we arrived. It was so welcoming we were speechless for some
time after arriving! We had a very tough year and this was the start we needed.
We will definitely return again and just wanted to say thank you.”
J & S Stevens

“I’ve
never before found a rental house like this in Britain: floor-to-ceiling
windows surround the living quarters, and slide open to admit salty breezes and
birdsong. An elevated position ensures views of a changing seascape beyond the
walled garden. With a cinema room, three bedrooms and put-you-up space for two
downstairs, this is a great house for friends and family.”
S Shalam

“We’ve
just got back home after our stay at Seacombe and wanted to say how much we
loved your wonderful home. What a complete triumph it is – it feels completely
blessed and complements the astounding location perfectly, we loved reading
about the history of how your family all pitched in… well you must all be
completely thrilled with the results!! We feel very lucky to have been able to
enjoy it for a while too.”
