Escape from life on dull, dry land with an invigorating break at Cable Cottage, a charmingly converted stone cable hut perfectly situated on a cliff top in picturesque Fishguard Bay, found along the exceptionally beautiful North Pembrokeshire coast.

The area is renowned for some of the best swimming and surfing in the county with its striking beaches and sandy coves – all of which are wonderfully accessible from this charming sea haven.  You’ll adore breathing in all that fresh sea air as you cradle a steaming mug of coffee, looking out towards the Irish Sea and along the spectacular coastline towards Dinas Head…where life’s possibilities seem endless!

Originally a stone cable hut used when telephone cables were first laid across the Atlantic, this exquisite little cottage sleeps up to four people in two double bedrooms and has been lovingly renovated to ensure the original character and charm resonates throughout, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy its contemporary oak interior and soft, comfortable furnishings.

Entrance to the cottage is through the utility room with its tiled floor, oak units, washing machine and tumble-dryer…perfect for cleaning off all those sandy clothes!  You’ll find you won’t always need to go outside to enjoy the sea views, as the cottage is designed for you to make the most of the coast from the inside too with its large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room, featuring French doors and windows all perfectly positioned to welcome in as much light as possible.

Why not open up the French doors and head out onto the patio, where you’ll find all you need for a relaxing evening barbecue set against the soothing soundscape of gentle waves as the evening sun sets over the coastline – bliss!

Back inside, you’ll find a comfy sofa perfect for relaxing with a good book, and a TV for an occasionally different view!  Prepare your catch of the day in the well-equipped kitchen, with its double oven and ceramic hob.  There’s a microwave and dishwasher to save on time, and the kitchen also features granite worktops and a breakfast bar with chairs.

You may start to find you’re staying up a lot later than usual to enjoy the views of the rolling Preseli Hills from your ground-floor bedroom!  This cosy room features a double bed, furniture and an en-suite shower room with plenty of storage space.  On the first floor, the second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and fitted wardrobes, with an en-suite shower room fully equipped with luxurious marble units.
