For a true escape to pure wilderness, come to Kudhva - an incredible wild camping experience in stunning Tintagel, Cornwall.
  • Sleeps: 2 per unit
  • Bedroom: Studio
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Named after the Cornish word for ‘hideout’, Kudhva offers exactly that. In a world away from the madness of modern life, learn what it is to become one with nature as you unwind in a totally unique Kudhva, their Danish Cabin or a Shanti Tipi with coastal views. Set among beautiful landscape, Kudhva allows you to completely relax, expand your mind, and celebrate everything the natural world offers.

Built for the adventurous camper, a Kudhva is a three-legged, asymmetrical hideaway, sitting eight foot off the ground. Positioned to make the most of sensational views down the coast to Gull Rock, Kirin Island and the Polzeath Headland, think of this architectural eccentricity as the most unusual tree-top hideout you’ll ever experience.

With three two-man Kudhva available, they’re the ideal choice for those who want to experience this truly unique location. Blending amazing design with a little touch of luxury, each is finished with soft bed linen and fresh towels, while your garden below comprises a bed of wild strawberries and heather.

Or why not savour the comfort of a Shanti Tipi, nestled in a beautiful field with 180-degree coastline views?  Sleeping two guests in a downy double bed, wonderfully pared down style elements include hessian flooring, and a gorgeous Kudhva candle to give your evenings a soft glow.
They also have a six berth cutom built Danish Cabin, which sits above their waterfall. Offering a larger more communal accommodation for groups.

Whichever you choose, nothing beats waking in your tree-top haven, feeling as free as the birds chirping nearby. However, this total immersion in nature doesn’t leave all the comforts of home behind. Two indoor showers powered by solar energy will refresh you for the day ahead, while an onsite shop sells necessities for your stay.

When it comes to cooking at Kudhva, here’s your chance to really get back to basics. Campfire cooking is actively encouraged, so have some fun coming up with your own camp-kitchen creations – perhaps using ingredients from your pre-ordered organic veg box, or even ones you’ve foraged from the woodland yourself. If you’re staying for the weekend, make the most of the Breakfast Baskets you can pre-book. Or if cooking’s not your bag, why not arrange for one of Kudhva’s recommended chefs to whip up delectable fireside treats for you?

Spend your days however you please, after consulting with Kudhva staff and pre-arranging some of the possible activities on offer, from swimming in the reservoir (possible with a guided tour from owner Louise), or unwinding with a spot of yoga in the middle of the golden grassland. Take inspiration to draw, paint or write, relax in the hot tub, or feel the power of nature as you stand below the 40ft waterfall (also via guided tour). Get your hands dirty with some land management, or simply lie back on the soft grass to gaze at the stars.
