Bradford Old Windmill
Experience romance and inimitable hospitality in the American 'Innkeeper' tradition, with a stay in a true historic retreat and Bradford on Avon's only windmill.
With a rich history dating back to 1806, Bradford Old Windmill enjoys a privileged setting perched atop a hillside overlooking this popular medieval stone town in the Cotswolds. Obscured somewhat by trees and foliage, the mill is like a hidden historic oasis. Distinctive and unorthodox in appearance, it is without sails due to its short tenure as a working windmill, yet retains an oak sail gallery and has a very unusual conical slate roof.
Inside the mill, the guest rooms have their own unique and individual charm Circular Great Spur is a king size bedroom and ideal honeymoon retreat, whilst Fantail is a suite with high ceilings and Gothic style iron bed, with the option of two children sleeping in a cabin bed on the gallery.
Windmill owners Priscilla and Peter provide a hearty breakfast and are your friendly hosts on hand should you need any local advice or expertise, to fully make the most your holiday with a unique, historical twist.
